UPISketch

UPISketch is an application that allows to freely draw the absolute pitch curves applied to existing sounds.
It has been possible thanks to a partnership between the Centre Iannis Xenakis, the European University of Cyprus and the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.

But I hope it reflects some of the concerns above. It has some advantages upon similar softwares : 
- it can respect the drawn gesture with a good accuracy;
- the default use is based on the classical notation of pitch versus time, which makes it easy to have a global vision of what happens at a given time, and helps to have a feeling of the form;
- the sounds are not just played at different speeds, but rather resynthesized using original grains spaced by their analysed period.
We can use non-standard divisions of the octave, thanks to a configurable grid.
